Moving Parts
First premiered in the smallest darkroom in Hull, Moving Parts is a disparate suite of works using the themes and sounds of travel as their subject. Some of these are small/minimal abstract works taking a tiny mechanical element- such as an engine revving or the sound of a car horn piping. Others have a more narrative basis, including a poetic comment on the former Necropolis railway line (a branch line for the dead), an adaptation of Pinter's 'Victoria Station', and a tongue in cheek advert for "Europe's biggest tourist destination."
