The artist practices across
the fields of sound, performance and writing, and with colleague Robert
Cary runs the net radio station www.illegalmedia.org
(broadcasting every night from 8pm).
First premiered in the smallest darkroom in Hull, Moving Parts is a disparate
suite of works using the themes and sounds of travel as their subject.
Some of these are small/minimal abstract works taking a tiny mechanical
element- such as an engine revving or the sound of a car horn piping.
Others have a more narrative basis, including a poetic comment on the
former Necropolis railway line (a branch line for the dead), an adaptation
of Pinter's 'Victoria Station', and a tongue in cheek advert for "Europe's
biggest tourist destination."
